Mi trabajo se centra en exploraciones tecnológicas, sonoras y arbóreas, caracterizado por una contrastante fascinación por la creación de artefactos e instrumentos acompañada de un desencanto por el rumbo devastador que ha tomado el “progreso’’ tecnológico; busco desde las artes crear puentes sensoriales que me ayuden a entender y relacionarme con mi contexto desde la intuición, lo ‘irracional’ y lo contemplativo, retomando todo eso que queda fuera del pragmatismo económico y volverlo parte fundamental de la invención artístico-tecnológica.
La madera y el electromagnetismo se volvieron mis principales medios de investigación y expresión, comencé a aprenderlos a la par, en Irapuato y al paso de los años fueron fusionandose creando diálogos sobre lo natural-artificial, el entorno, la instrumentalización y lo divino.
My work revolves around technological, sound, and arboreal explorations. It is marked by a contrasting fascination with creating artifacts and instruments, paired with a disillusionment toward the devastating course technological “progress” has taken. Through the arts, I seek to build sensory bridges that help me understand and engage with my surroundings through intuition, the “irrational,” and the contemplative—embracing everything left outside of economic pragmatism and making it a fundamental part of artistic-technological invention.
Wood and electromagnetism have become my main mediums of research and expression. I began learning about both simultaneously, in Irapuato, and over the years they have merged, creating dialogues between the natural and the artificial, the environment, instrumentalization, and god.
