DIEGO HUACUJA
Diego Huacuja T. “deachete” desarrolla su obra en la intersección entre la animación, el dibujo y la pintura. Su trabajo parte de la gráfica como base, y encuentra en la animación una forma de expandir la imagen hacia nuevas posibilidades narrativas y visuales. Ve en la ciudad un lienzo abierto para imaginar y retratar lo que a menudo pasa desapercibido, creando microhistorias con humor que renuevan la manera en que miramos la realidad. Ese diálogo entre lo estático y lo en movimiento define gran parte de su trayectoria y de su búsqueda creativa.
Tras una carrera reconocida en el ámbito internacional de la animación, Diego ha llevado también su trabajo a ferias de ilustración y exposiciones de arte. Hoy, esa experiencia converge en una nueva etapa donde su práctica se abre camino en el espacio expositivo, llevando su lenguaje visual más allá de la pantalla y explorando la fuerza de la imagen como obra autónoma.
Diego Huacuja T. “deachete” develops his work at the intersection of animation, drawing, and painting. His practice is rooted in graphic art, and he finds in animation a way to expand the image toward new narrative and visual possibilities. He sees the city as an open canvas to imagine and portray what often goes unnoticed, creating micro-stories with humor that renew the way we look at reality. This dialogue between the static and the moving defines much of his trajectory and creative exploration.
After building a distinguished career in the international animation scene, Diego has also brought his work to illustration fairs and art exhibitions. Today, that experience converges in a new stage where his practice carves a path into the exhibition space, taking his visual language beyond the screen and exploring the power of the image as an autonomous artwork.
