FRANCISCO PINTOR
Es artista visual que explora el paisaje desde la acuarela, el acrílico, el óleo y el grabado. Miembro activo de su comunidad y gran observador de la naturaleza, Pintor es además un experimentado artesano cuetero. Heredó su oficio de su familia que se ha dedicado a la pirotecnia durante años, labor importante para la ritualidad local. Su práctica artística condensa su labor de artesano, la mirada atenta que ha sembrado desde su habitar del territorio del Semidesierto y sus tradiciones, y sus inquietudes expresivas. Francisco Pintor estudió en el Instituto de Artes y Oficios de Querétaro fue seleccionado para hacer una residencia en el Taller de técnicas de grabado tradicionales y Experimentales Bambú, en Oaxaca y ha expuesto de manera individual en el Monono Café y ha sido parte de exposiciones colectivas en el Museo Regional a través del Colectivo Board Dripper y en la Casa de la Cultura Ignacio Mena Rosales.
Is a visual artist who explores landscapes through watercolor, acrylic, oil, and printmaking. An active member of his community and a keen observer of nature, Pintor is also an experienced fireworks craftsman. He inherited this craft from his family, who have been dedicated to pyrotechnics for years, an important aspect of local rituals. His artistic practice blends his craftsmanship, the attentive eye he has developed from living in the semidesert region and its traditions, and his expressive curiosities. Francisco Pintor studied at the Institute of Arts and Crafts of Querétaro and was selected for a residency at the Bamboo Workshop of Traditional and Experimental Printmaking Techniques in Oaxaca. He has held solo exhibitions at Monono Café and has participated in group exhibitions at the Regional Museum through the Board Dripper Collective and at the Ignacio Mena Rosales House of Culture.
